M.A.K.S, Incorporated provides customers with custom electronics engineering, design and manufacturing services. Our extensive knowledge of all aspects of electronics production, including design, engineering, programming, manufacturing, and packaging, allow us to provide our customers with complete turnkey electronics solutions. This handheld diagnostic unit is a pass thru device used to perform comprehensive diagnostics on vehicles through connection to their on-board computers.

The device features USB connectivity to the PC interface and supports a comprehensive selection of automotive communication protocols including those for Ford, Chrysler, and GM models. Currently, there is no single standard automotive communication protocol, so this project required in-depth working knowledge of a wide array of protocols. The diagnostic unit supports any SAE - J2534 compliant and OEM mandated programming software as well as OBD-II diagnostics and data charting, CAN bus analysis tool, and E-flash software.

PCBs were produced with SMT assembly and tested for functionality before release to the customer. PCB assemblies met all IPC and customer specifications and all materials are RoHS compliant. The assemblies were carefully packed in shock resistant and anti-static packaging for shipment to our customer in Michigan.
